Device updates
One of the simplest ways to protect your devices from security risks is keeping your Internet browser, operating system, plug-ins and document editors up to date. You can do this by:
- Installing software updates whenever you receive a trusted notification
- Checking to make sure you’re running the latest version via the app store
- Enabling auto-updates
- Using the latest Chrome technology which updates automatically
When software updates are available on your mobile, computer or tablet, you should always try to perform the update as soon as possible.
It’s also important to update any applications on your device, to avoid them becoming obsolete.
